The Redevelopment of the China Congregational Church manifests the vision and mission of the Church through transformation of the old church into high rise multi-functioned Church complex.  

The tapering tower symbolizes the “Praying Hands” which is further enhanced spiritually by the “Holy Trinity” concept in the front façade.  As an Oasis in the vicinity, the building floats over a welcoming yet transparent ground lobby.  To provide a column-free Church Hall, an integrated structure of waffled slab and corrugated walls is adopted.  Going up the Grand Staircase which connects to all major worship spaces, one could experience the ‘Vertical Pilgrimage’.
